PAIGE & DANNY RIOS Missionaries - La Mision, Mexico
Paige and Daniel met in 2019 while serving at Door of Faith Orphanage (DOFO) in Baja California, Mexico. At the time, Daniel had been serving as a group host and chapel director at the orphanage, and Paige had traveled with some friends from her church to volunteer there for the week. During that trip, Paige was asked to come back for a trial run as a staff member, and she quickly fell in love with the job (and Daniel). In August of 2019, she left her home in Seal Beach, California to live onsite at DOFO for one year. However, that commitment was extended indefinitely as she and Daniel became engaged and were married in 2020. Daniel and Paige currently hold weekly chapel services for the kids at DOFO - Daniel teaches and Paige leads worship. Daniel is now in charge of a small school for children whose families work on the local farms and cannot afford to give them an education. For the last two years, he has been driving each morning to bring his students to school, teaching them all day, and driving them home again. Because of his dedication and God’s faithfulness, his school has nearly tripled in size since he began running it. Paige is now serving full-time with Morning By Morning Ministries, a local nonprofit that uses music and dance to take the Gospel to people all throughout northern Baja. She primarily works with kids in orphanages and women/young girls who have been rescued from human trafficking. She is also serving as the worship leader in a nearby rural community where a new church was recently planted. Daniel and Paige have a heart for reaching the lost with the Gospel and helping others to see their true value in Christ. While living and doing ministry in Mexico can be challenging, they are confident in their calling as they have seen God’s faithfulness displayed to them over and over again.
