God called one of our in-country workers and his family to help vulnerable children in grave need of love, care and protection.
Our worker and his family live in a district that is notorious for trafficking young girls. The people group know as "Chepang" are the most marginalized and impoverished people group in Asia. Every year, hundreds of children are trafficked either for labor or are sold in brothels. Poor families are lured by much needed money which traffickers promise will be sent if they send their daughters to work. After the earthquake in 2015, the problem got even worse and the traffickers were more active than before as many families lost their homes and their family members. Our worker knew that this was the time to act and make a difference in the lives of these precious children.
Our worker started by taking in two little children who would have died if they were not given medical attention and left in their grim living situation with only their poor aging grandmother to take care of them. This little act of love grew into a family and his family is now taking care of 9 precious children (including 2 house parents’ children). Many of these children are orphans, from marginalized groups and from high trafficking areas. They are still open to taking in children who are in genuine need of love, care and protection.
The children shown below are currently living in the Children's Home. Since they are being cared for on a full-time basis, they will each need multiple sponsors in order to meet all of their needs. There are many living expenses that come with managing full time care at the home. For $15 per month or more, you can help to give these children a chance to have a new life and learn about God's love for them in a tangible way.
